Understanding the Book of Job

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said,
Doth Job fear God for nought?
Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house,
and about all that he hath on every side?
thou hast blessed the work of his hands,
and his substance is increased in the land.
But put forth Thine hand now, and touch all that he hath,
and he will curse thee to thy face
.

And the LORD said unto Satan,
Behold, all that he hath is in thy power;
only upon himself put not forth thine hand.

And Satan answered the LORD, and said,
Skin for skin
yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
But put forth Thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh,
and he will curse Thee to Thy face.

And the LORD said unto Satan,
Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
Job 9-12/2:4-6

*And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword;

*While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

1) Job's 3 friends blamed Job. They thought he ticked off God......and by extension they were Blaming God....
Eliphaz- Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and
thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. But now it is come upon
thee,
and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled. Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?

Job 4:4,5,7
Bildad- Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
Job 8:20

Job 2:7
Our Attitude should be that of Job:
---Though He slay me,
yet will I trust in Him:
Job 13:15
---Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer Thee?
I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
Job 40:4
---For I know that my Redeemer liveth,
and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
Job 19:25

Job's Reward: And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends:
---also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
---So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she donkeys.
---He had also seven sons and three daughters.
And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
-*-And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
---After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
